Of course last week I talked about trying to stay consistent, so naturally I missed Sunday’s newsletter. For the past 2ish years I’ve been primarily motivated by the very simple goals of HAVING FUN and BEING HAPPY. Um, duh Erin, but it’s something that I realized I hadn’t really been doing in an intentional way for likeeee 30 years, and to prioritize those principles has been life changing. In big and small ways, in how I spend my time ways, in not working for people I don’t respect ways, in opening up new friendship ways, in I bought the silver pants ways; and also in ways that probably aren’t very strategic to my future self and make me question if I will ever be able to afford moving into another apartment LET ALONE buy a house or have kids or even freeze my eggs first or support aging parents later on in life :) :) :) But on Sunday my choices were small stakes and straightforward: I could stay home, write my newsletter, and do my laundry OR I could meet my friend Michelle at the park to hang out. I chose the latter and ended up having my favorite kind of day where lunch turns into a walk into a picnic into ice cream into dinner into finally watching Wicked and ending the night with an unexpected orange yogurt cake that Michelle’s sweet neighbor baked for us at 10pm. It is fun to have fun!
I’ve been saving images on Pinterest in an effort to manifest the vibessss and feelings I want this season. I meant to share this over the weekend as a way to usher in April (!!) but we’re doing it today instead. BTW if you, like me, haven’t logged in since 2018, you should get back on, open up the visual time capsule of millennial pinks and mason jars and monstera plants you may have saved before, have a good giggle, then archive everything and start again. Michelle^ said she’s been opening up Pinterest every time she thinks about going on Instagram, and it does feel like a more rewarding and inspiring place to spend your digital time!
Loving color, this particular shade of blue, beaded accents, delicate handicrafts, cozy kitchens to make meals for friends, and looking up at the sky.
Boring clothes but good accessories, this time in the form of belts and heirloom estate jewelry (a girl can dream). Shells, mushrooms, pearls, stars. Beautiful veggies. More blue.
Blue with red and orange and brown. Stripes. Checks. Patterns. Timeless…for spring and beyond!
Sending everyone sunshine, especially if you had to put a winter coat back on this week,
Erin
